Cyber Brews events were founded in Huntsville, AL in 2018 after Karen Williams and her current/former colleagues decided to start meeting at a different brewery each month to catch up and talk about issues in the cyber industry. We missed the collaborative energy we had while working on past contracts in the government industry, so we decided to meet up monthly. We then started creating events on social media to share with other colleagues and friends. Soon Cyber Brews had a following and by the end of 2019 we helped three college students find their first jobs in cyber through networking and mentoring.  When Karen wanted to start her cyber training and consulting business she decided to use "Cyber Brews" as the business name because people introduced her as "Karen with Cyber Brews." In 2022, Cyber Brews became a Limited Liability Corporation (LLC) and received a Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) certification.
