About the event
This workshop describes how SSE methods and practices integrate into the risk managment steps in an SDLC. The workshop uses best practices and guidelines published within the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800 series.
Each ticket provides one drink ticket, pizza, and the workshop.
About the speaker:
Karen Williams is the CEO of Cyber Brews LLC and a part-time instructor for the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH). Mrs. Williams has been a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) instructor since 2012 and received the Information System Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP) concentration in 2022. She has over 20 years of experience with 18 years providing cybersecurity engineering and management expertise to the Department of Defense (DoD) as a contractor. She has served on several Board of Directors and committees for cyber professional development such as Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS), ISACA and ISSA. Mrs. Williams has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Arts from the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH), a Master of Science (MS) degree in Management of information Systems (MIS) from UAH and completed an Information Assurance certificate program at UAH. She has been named “6 Women to Watch in Huntsville’s Tech Scene” by the Bama Buzz and “Top 22 in ‘22 Women in Tech in Alabama” by Business Alabama Magazine.
